AN EXPLORATORY FACTOR ANALYSIS OF LONG COVID

چکیده

An exploratory factor analysis (EFA) can provide a window into the latent dimensions of disease, such as Long COVID. Discovering factors COVID enables researchers and clinicians to better conceptualize, study treat this disease. In study, participants were recruited from social media sites dedicated Among 480 participants, those who completed at least 90% survey, reported symptoms for two or more months since COVID-19 symptom onset, had not been hospitalized used in EFA. The mean duration initial onset was 74.0 (37.3) weeks. A new questionnaire called DePaul Symptom Questionnaire-COVID assess self-reports frequency severity 38 experienced over most recent month. burdensome “Symptoms that get worse after physical mental activities (also known Post-Exertional Malaise),” “Fatigue/extreme tiredness,” “Difficulty thinking and/or concentrating,” “Sleep problems,” “Muscle aches.” EFA resulted three-factor model with labeled General, PEM/Fatigue/Cognitive Dysfunction, Psychological, consisting 16, 6, 3 items respectively (25 total). reliability .90 using split-half test. Finally, participant self-reported level functional impairment analyzed across three factors. Interpretations applications research practice are provided.

Neuropsychological Decomposing Stroop Interference Into Different Cognitive ‎Monitoring; An Exploratory Factor Analysis

Introduction: There are two alternative explanations of the Stroop phenomenon. Several studies have revealed that the difference in performance on congruent and incongruent trials can arise from response interference. On the contrary, many authors have claimed that Stroop interference might occur at earlier processing stages related to semantic or conceptual encoding. The present study aims to ...

an infinite planar array of rectangular microstrip patch antenna analysis

the methods which are used to analyze microstrip antennas, are divited into three categories: empirical methods, semi-empirical methods and full-wave analysis. empirical and semi-empirical methods are generally based on some fundamental simplifying assumptions about quality of surface current distribution and substrate thickness. thses simplificatioms cause low accuracy in field evaluation. ful...

Geographical Analysis of COVID-19 Epidemiology in Iran with Exploratory Spatial Data Analysis Approach (ESDA)

Background and Aim: The use of geophysical analysis of the epidemiology to identify geographical factors affecting the prevalence of the disease can be effective on community health policies to control the prevalence of the virus. Therefore, the present study is a geographical analysis of the COVID-19 epidemiology in Iran. Therefore, the purpose of this study is the geographical analysis of co...

Sparse Exploratory Factor Analysis.

Sparse principal component analysis is a very active research area in the last decade. It produces component loadings with many zero entries which facilitates their interpretation and helps avoid redundant variables. The classic factor analysis is another popular dimension reduction technique which shares similar interpretation problems and could greatly benefit from sparse solutions. Unfortuna...

Bayesian Exploratory Factor Analysis.

This paper develops and applies a Bayesian approach to Exploratory Factor Analysis that improves on ad hoc classical approaches. Our framework relies on dedicated factor models and simultaneously determines the number of factors, the allocation of each measurement to a unique factor, and the corresponding factor loadings. Classical identification criteria are applied and integrated into our Bay...
